How Big are we talking?

The Tribe needs land to call Home.

How much land really depends upon the size and ambitions of the cooperative and of course, just how many members join. An objective will be to provide each household unit a small parcel of land to develop and work for themselves and the the community. These household plots would be in the region of 3-5 acres of land.

The community as a whole, would also develop larger, communal plots to support the needs of the complete Tribe, these larger plots would primarily provide space for crop farming, livestock grazing & management and other wider agricultural activities.

In perspective

So, what's an acre?

Think of a football stadium such as Wembley, Old Trafford or The Emirates, each of those pitches are approximately 2 acres in size. So each household within the Tribe would be situated on land twice the size of the Wembley pitch.

My back garden

The average UK 3-4 bedroom new estate house these days is built on approximately 1/12th acre, then a household plot of land in the cooperative of 4 acres would be 48 x times larger than what an average house sits on today.

In March 2021, the UK average house price was £256'000 with the average house price in England £268'000 in April 2021.
