The geographic location of our cooperative is key in achieving our goal to living a more sustainable, secure and independent lifestyle. Creating our community in a rural location will provide the space to build our homes, grow crops & manage livestock, develop water & energy supplies and insulate ourselves from the impacts of societal problems. As the world changes and the climate within the towns & cities of the UK becomes more challenging, our community will be building a better habitat for our children.
The average house developer will place a 4 bedroomed home on 1/8th to 1/16th of an acre in the UK, resulting in 10-14 homes built upon 1 acre of land. Our vision will be to provide each home within our community a 3-5 acre plot of land on which build a house and sustainable smallholding. Larger communal areas of land within the cooperative will deliver larger scale crop growing, livestock management and natural environmental purposes.

Living a more self sufficient, environmentally aware way of life doesn't necessary mean that this has to be a very basic & uncomfortable experience. Modern building materials and techniques can now deliver exceptionally high quality homes that are energy efficient, comfortable and spacious. The homes built in our community will be designed in keeping with the environment we inhabit, but will provide the perfect balance of practicality and comfort. The economies of scale that a cooperative membership can secure versus the resources of individuals alone will help procure cost effective solutions for our Tribe.

Who we are
The individual members of our Cooperative form our Community or Tribe. We will create a wonderful environment together in which to provide our shelter, water, food, energy & security, but also our love for the world around us.
Members joining the cooperative will come from all different backgrounds, life experiences and regions of the UK. They will have developed their own knowledge, skills and abilities from their previous lives and will approach all problems in their own unique style, but with the community at their heart. Membership is open to all that wish to create a different path for themselves, working with others to form a close knit, peaceful and harmonious collective of people, willing to help, share & support each other in beautiful surroundings.
Respect for each other together with the respect mother nature will harness the talents, ideas and creativity of the Tribe so that life can be lived with enjoyment and satisfaction, compared to the divisions and disagreements that society currently struggles to overcome.
